  • Continue working with the National Hispanic Environmental Council (NHEC) www.nheec.org (Sal Ramirez and Roger Rivera)  in future environmental education projects involving students.

  • Follow-up Stewards' comments given to State and Federal Agencies regarding proposed Houston based - Northern Star Natural Gas – “Clearwater Port LNG” facility off the Oxnard, Santa Barbara Coast.

  • Continue working in collaboration with Stewards'  Environment non-profit partners, especially, with “Ratepayers for Affordable Clean Energy” Rory Cox –  www.RaceForCleanEnergy.org and the “California Coastal Protection Network” Susan Jordan – www.coastaladvocates.com - who are working to protect the Pacific Rim from dangerous oil and gas projects which violate health, air and water quality standards.

2009-2010-Indigenous Computer Training Program:

  • Continue raising funds to implement two computer skills training programs, in collaboration with the Poor Clare Sisters (Catholic Nuns) of Divine Mercy in Chalco, Mexico. The first computer and literacy program will be implemented in Chalco, Mexico, where the Sisters live and work; the second program will be organized in the San Miguel la Sardina Village public school in the State of Chiapas Mexico; area where the Sisters work and where Stewards of the Earth has visited and helped raise funds for the school.

  • The “Computer and Literacy Training Programs” are Stewards of the Earth  “Faith Based” social service projects; primarily because the programs were started with the financial support given by  Sacred Heart Church in Ventura, California – “St. Rose of Lima Outreach to the Poor Committee;” lead by Lupe Anguiano who has a great deal of experience working in Mexico. Guadalupe Olay, Stewards' Board member, who lives in Mexico, will be the computer instructor in Chalco and assist, overseeing implementation of the Chiapas School Project.

Future-Collective History Program:

  • On hold; anticipate working with UCLA Chicano Studies Research Center, whom Stewards will request to conduct evaluation of all programs and request keeping history of all Stewards' programs
